As creatives we love what we do, it’s our passion and often our life’s purpose but sometimes it is at odds with the demands of earning an income. Who Knows: Facilitation aims to address this. How can we turn our creative practice into workshops? What needs to be considered and prepped for facilitating confidently and effectively? This facilitation training is aimed at creatives who want to turn what they do into a facilitation practice.
Over the day you will:
- Discover what lies at the heart of your practice
- Try out facilitation and co-facilitation techniques and experiment with a range of exercises
- Explore practical considerations of designing, delivering and debriefing workshops.
This is a space where we can ask questions and share advice on best practices. This course is suitable for experienced artists and practitioners working in storytelling across a range of disciplines (e.g. storytellers, poets, performers etc), who wish to develop and extend their skills and confidence in delivering/facilitating creative workshops, with a focus on working with young people.
