  • Gloucester Guildhall 23 Eastgate Street Gloucester United Kingdom (map)

Gloucester Independent Film Festival presents Signs of Life, directed by Joseph Millson.
Nominated for best feature film at this year's event, the screening will also be in the company of the World Premiere of The Little Cinema in Gloucester (short documentary) by Samuel Pope, Don’t Give Up (music video) by Ross James Goatman and Milking the Dog (short documentary) by Joe Murphy.

Signs of Life directed by Joseph Millson (Nominated for Best Feature Film) “Anne attempts to shift her outlook by taking herself on holiday. But on arrival she is met with danger. A chance encounter with another traveller offers an unexpected solution, which could heal or crumble their lives completely. ”

The Little Cinema in Gloucester directed by Samuel Pope (Nominated for Best Documentary) “As the Sherborne Cinema prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2025, this short documentary stands as a heartfelt tribute to resilience, the joy of film, and the enduring bonds formed in the shared experience of cinema. It serves as a reminder that if we don’t cherish and support our local theatres, we may lose them forever. ”

Don’t Give Up directed by Ross James Goatman (Nominated for Best Music Video) “Featuring the Drum and Bass artist Dr Meaker, the music video illustrates the repetition of mundanity.

Milking the Dog directed by Joe Murphy (Nominated for Best Documentary) “Phil Rochester battles to conquer Manchester's toughest standup contest, revealing the relentless drive of an artist to perform—even when he's not thanked by audiences for doing so. ”
