Empowerment through movement workshop with Yukiko Masui from SAY!

WHERE: Eastgate Street & Gloucester Guildhall.

WHEN: Sunday 9th June 2024, 11am – 12am

Gloucester Guildhall’s Young Programmers: CHISPA take over Eastgate street with workshops, stalls and a high octane upcycling fashion show with live music showcasing local talent.

As part of the day they are running a FREE workshop with

London-based dancer Yukiko Masui from SAY! She featured in the MCU film “The Marvels” (2023) and were Dance Captains for the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games (2022). They will be leading our FREE workshop that will explore:

• Ways of how to move and walk in a way that feels authentic to you

• How to present yourself including catwalk posing

This is not about engaging in stereotyped modelling it is about developing self confidence in authenticity.

This will be held inside the Guildhall. You do not need any previous movement experience.

There is an additional option to be part of the catwalk show at 3pm– do express your interest when booking and we follow up with you with further details.

CHISPA want to create increased awareness around the environmental impacts of fashion and empower young people to creatively express themselves, upskill and take ownership and pride over cultural spaces in Gloucester.
