108 minutes
Directed by: Marija Kavtaradze
Cast | Greta Grinevičiūte, Kęstutis Cicėnas
Lithuanian with English subtitles
When dancer Elena (Greta Grineviciute) and sign language interpreter Dovydas (Kestutis Cicenas) meet, they’re immediately drawn to each other. But Elena is a sensual and physical person, and Dovydas is not. Struggling to navigate their different approaches to sex, they try to find a way to be together that works for them both.
Marija Kavtaradze’s (Summer Survivors) Sundance award-winner Slow is a modern love story about two people exploring how to build their own kind of intimacy. Touching and tender, with a lightness of touch that belies its thoughtfulness, it’s an eloquent and exciting romance that cements Kavtaradze as a filmmaking voice to watch.
