The Sticky Dance: Sensory Adapted

  • Gloucester Guildhall 23 Eastgate Street Gloucester United Kingdom (map)

Interactive, engaging and colourful family show The Sticky Dance!

Three dancers' shimmy through the audience weaving a tapestry of sticky tape in this tactile dance performance for young children. They invite you to tape, stick and groove, to see and feel sound or to be still, watch and listen. Audiences are encouraged to explore freely, choosing how they engage and turning the rules upside down.

Sticky Dance is a playful room for families to explore freely between performances.

These shows are sensory adapted and this event is a Relaxed Performance (RP) which is adapted for neurodivergent and disabled audiences, with or without diagnosis.

It has a smaller audience capacity, with a maximum of eight children in the space, making it more suitable for those who might benefit from a calmer environment.

The music and lighting are adjusted and there are no sudden changes.

There are no words as part of the performance, but the company may give some instructions or say hello – the audience chooses how they interact with the performers and the space.

There is seating in the space, including floor cushions and chairs. Wheelchair users do not need to book a specific wheelchair ticket for this performance.

Late comers and re-entry is permitted, however if the space is already full, we may ask you to wait.

Sensory Adapted performance times:
10 - 10.45am
11.15 - 12.55am
The capacity for sensory adapted performances is 8 children with up to 10 adult parent/carers.
