It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at Gloucester Guildhall! We’ve got a sleighs worth of shows and Christmas gift ideas to get you in the festive spirit!
Kid Carpet’s Noisy Nativity
10 - 23 December
This year we welcome musician and theatre maker Kid Carpet to Gloucester Guildhall with his hilarious show, Noisy Nativity!
Kid Carpet creates disruptively charming shows, creating superheroes out of everyday people and ordinary things. His shows are suitable for children of all ages and are renowned for their DIY aesthetic with original songs, funky beats and special effects!
This fun-filled show is packed with silliness, music, and family-friendly mischief, all in Kid Carpet's unique style of playful craziness.
There's a Nativity to put on, but no one has shown up to audition. Luckily, The Noisy Animals, a local band, are nearby and ready to help... but only if they can take total control. With their outrageous demands, from six million tinsel headbands to a golden eagle in the dressing room, chaos is bound to follow!
Hailed as 'The Mighty Boosh for kids' by Strike A Light, Kid Carpet’s shows are a mix of rock ‘n’ roll theatre and joyful nonsense, with loads of energy, catchy tunes, and plenty of laughs.
Relaxed and BSL interpreted performances on the 14 and 15 December.
The Snowman with The Enchanted Cinema
8 December
Experience this Christmas classic like never before by grabbing an instrument and joining in to recreate the music to this iconic festive animation!
Fun for all the family The Enchanted Cinema invites kids and their grown-ups to join a pop-up orchestra playing unusual, delightful and ingenious instruments to bring to life scenes from much-loved animation The Snowman.
The 30 minute workshop is followed by a screening of Dianne Jackson’s magical animation.
It’s a joyful celebration of creativity and holiday spirit that you won’t want to miss!
