GIFF: The Spin + The Removed, Fish Fingers are in the Fridge, As My Father Would Say

Gloucester Independent Film Festival presents The Spin directed by Michael Head.

Nominated for best feature film at this year's event, the screening will also be in the company of The Removed (short film) by Rebecca Rose, Fish Fingers are in the Fridge (short animation) by Lilly Ahmed and As My Father Would Say (micro short) by Emma Corrigan.

The Spin directed by Michael Head (Nominated for Best Feature Film) “Set in Omagh, Northern Ireland, two down on their luck record store owners, Elvis (Owen Colgan) and Dermott (Brenock O'Connor), take a cross country road trip to Cork to acquire a priceless record that could save their failing business and save them from eviction from their evil landlord, Sadie (Tara Lynne O'Neill). Along the way there is plenty of music, mayhem, and a whole lot of heart.”

The Removed directed by Rebecca Rose (Nominated for Best Short Film) “The Removed examines the lifelong effects of forced adoption and one woman's search for a lost past.”

Fish Fingers are in the Fridge directed by Lilly Ahmed (Nominated for Best Animation) “A little boy is left home alone but, as he enjoys his new-found freedom, strange sounds around him lead him on a winding journey where imagination and reality shift and merge.”

As My Father Would Say directed by Emma Corrigan (Nominated for Best Micro Short Film) “An exploration of a girl's connection to the Irish Language through her late father.”
