Bending Reality – where movement makes the impossible feel within reach.

Our brains don’t just perceive reality; they reconstruct it, piecing together fragments of experience, memory, and expectation. What if what we see isn’t all there is? What if the way we look shapes what we find? This performance invites you to step into a world where certainty is an illusion.

Through extreme physicality—dance, circus, and parkour—this show reveals reality as a series of shifting perspectives and questions.

With innovative design at its core, a sculptural dress reshapes the space, while Ben Glover’s video design captures the moments between what is seen and what is imagined.

As in previous Nua Dance performances, Bending Reality integrates accessibility for deaf audiences through creative captions, vibrotactile wearable devices (Woojer vests and belts), and a description of the sound.
