  • Gloucester Guildhall 23 Eastgate Street Gloucester United Kingdom (map)

Dir: James Watkins | USA | 2024 | 110 mins

Cast | James McAvoy, Mackenzie Davis, Scoot McNairy, Aisling Franciosi, Dan Hough

BAFTA award-winner James McAvoy (Split, Glass) gives a chilling performance in James Watkins’ (The Woman in Black, Eden Lake) riveting new suspense thriller adapted from the award-winning 2022 Danish horror sensation Gæsterne.

American couple Louise (Mackenzie Davis – Terminator: Dark Fate), Ben (Scoot McNairy – A Quiet Place Part II) and their daughter are delighted when they’re invited to stay at the country estate of the charming British family they befriended on holiday. But what begins as a dream trip with their vacation pals Paddy (McAvoy), Ciara (Aisling Franciosi – Game of Thrones) and their mysterious son Ant (Daniel Hough) gradually warps into a snarled psychological nightmare, as their charismatic, alpha-male host’s exuberant hospitality begins to segue into darkness.
