François Ozon (8 Women, Swimming Pool, Summer of ‘85) returns with this witty, frothy confection set in glamorous 1930s Paris and starring Nadia Tereszkiewicz (Rosalie, Red Island) and Rebecca Marder (A Radiant Girl) alongside Isabelle Huppert (Elle, 8 Women, Amour).
A struggling actress, Madeleine Verdier (Tereszkiewicz) faces scandal when she’s accused of murdering a famous producer. After being acquitted, she begins a new life, but gains notoriety when the truth comes out.
Expect murder, intrigue, romance and blackmail spliced with French film history, costumed in furs and feathers and performed by a stylish ensemble cast in Ozon’s showbiz screwball.
