What is it?
A FREE entry talk and Q&A on moving into stuntwork.
Kashmir Leese will share his experiences as a dancer and performer and his move into stuntwork (Top Boy & The Witcher). This will be followed by a short Q&A.
Who is leading the talk?
Kashmir Leese is a renowned professional hip-hop freestyle and house dancer, with a global presence, having competed, judged, and taught at over 300 events across 40+ countries. A dedicated martial artist, Kashmir excels in Taekwondo, Muay Thai, and XMA, with mastery in weapons forms such as Nunchucks, Bo Staff, and Katana. Beyond dance and martial arts, Kashmir is an accomplished stunt performer, featuring in major productions like Heart of Stone (Netflix), Rings of Power S2 (Amazon), Wicked 1&2 (Universal), The Beekeeper (Amazon) and Slow Horses (Apple).
What will I learn?
Attendees will learn about Kasmir's journey into Stuntwork, his training methods and experiences working in big productions. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions.
Who is this event for?
The talk / Q&A is for martial arts enthusiasts, Dance and Circus performers and those who are interested in stunt work and want to learn more about the profession. This workshop is open to all though it is highly recommended to those with a background in dance, circus and performing arts.
Complimentary Film Screening of Stuntwomen: The Untold Hollywood Story
After the talk & Q&A attendees are invited to a screening of Stuntwomen: The Untold Hollywood Story. The film screening will give workshop attendees the opportunity to delve deeper into the techniques of stuntwork on the big screen.
An action-documentary about the evolution of stunt women, their struggles on screen to perform at the highest level, and their fight off-screen to be treated fairly and equally. The movie takes us behind-the-scenes and introduces us to the female stunt performers who drive the action and thrills of Hollywood’s biggest blockbuster movies from the silent age of cinema to present day.
